IMO MC3 dub edition remix was way harder than MC2, the rubber banding in MC3 is way way too powerful. Even if you push your car to the limit on every corner the ai still flies past at over 2x your speed.

As a kid, I already had trouble doing the tokyo races with the cheat "howhardcanitbe0" (especially Hailey races, from what I remember) 💀 But I retried a playthrough on my PS2 some years ago (the legit way this time) and I beat the game for true! Yes it's hard and unfair, but not impossible. Dustin, I think you were a bit harsh with MC1, but I'm glad you appreciate MC2 this much! This game feels very underrated.

For some reason the PS2 version is much more difficult than the PC version, despite having a difficult time on the PC version, I managed to pass it in the end, now the PS2 version, holy shit, the devs programmed that game with the devil
